The All New 2011 Aston Martin V8 Vantage S Arrives at Palm Beach

The new Aston Martin V8 Vantage S comes equipped with new driver-focused features that are designed to enhance your driving experience each time you get behind the wheel.

Powered by a 4.7 liter V8 engine, the engine has been engineered to churn out a peak performance of 430 hp at 7300 rpm and torque of 361 lb.-ft at 5000 rpm. The super sleek engine is coupled with a Sportshift™ II transmission, specifically designed for the Vantage S, with seven short ratio gears that promise the most engaging and intense driver involvement.
The new seven speed Sportshift™ II automated manual transmission, which comes as standard, lets you change the gears almost 20 per cent quicker than Sportshift™. Additionally, the Vantage S features a ‘Sport’ button which quickens the gear changes and gives the driver a more aggressive throttle response.

Some of the dynamic revisions central to the Vantage S are a quickened steering rack ratio of 15:1 compared to 17:1, and a larger diameter front brake disc with new six-piston front brake calipers. Chassis revisions include new springs and dampers, and wider rear wheels. A new dynamic stability control (DSC) system along with Hydraulic Brake Assist (HBA) and Hill Brake Assist provides assistance during emergency braking situations. Aston Martin has collaborated with Bridgestone to develop customized tires to optimize road holding enhancing dynamic feel.
And there is something for those who like their cars sounding as cool as they look. The Vantage S is sure to please with its own unique sound via a new exhaust muffler and bypass valve map, creating a very distinctive and highly vocal exhaust note.

Aston Martins are world renowned for their exquisite looks, and the Vantage S is no exception. At the front, the perfectly-aligned carbon fiber bumper houses a large air intake feeding the engine and front brakes; while a new rear bumper and side sills optically widen the car. Standard are stylish ‘V’ spoke wheel styles, while an optional 10-spoke lightweight forged wheel option, further enhances unsprung mass.

This year will mark the third anniversary of the Aston Martin on Ice event. Not to be mistaken with some whimsical figure skating show, the event promises to make for a “cool” driving experience! Being held at the world renowned St. Moritz Resort in Switzerland this February, Aston Martin enthusiasts will have the opportunity to take the Rapide, as well as the DBS, DB9 V8 and V12 Vantages out on a wintery escapade!

Aston Martin One-77 to feature the World’s Most Powerful Naturally Aspirated Road Car Engine

It's all about power! The new Aston Martin One-77 Supercar is all set to scorch the road with the 7.3-liter V12 engine which is rated at a whopping 750bhp and 553lb ft of torque.
